It was God the Father that moved on our behalf. He is the one whom, out of love, sent his beloved son (John 3:16).   Jesus embarked on his mission, because of God's love for sinful men and women who were in rebellion against him. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ gave us his beloved Son so that he might die in our place. The righteous for the unrighteous.
