While the beginning verses (1-6) delight in the handiwork of God, these verses (7-9) now turn to the characteristics and beauty of His Word.   God’s handiwork, by itself, was never able to fully reveal everything that was needed for men and women to understand their Creator. Indeed, with creation by itself, apart from the revelation of God’s Son and the written Word, men with their sinful hearts would fall down in worship of the creation rather than the Creator.
